SwanitiInitiative aims to strengthen public service delivery by working with state andlocal governments across South Asia with a strong focus on India. Ourinterventions have included strengthening scheme implementation by identifyingcurrent gaps and limitations, providing research support to Hon\u2019ble Members ofParliament about best practices in moving forward, and developingdata-technology tools that can back decision-making processes. At present,along with working with 200+ Honble Members of Parliamentarians for policymaking, are working as advisors to state governments to ensure the delivery ofschemes to the last mile. Major verticals of our work are climate andsustainability, social protection, and livelihood.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for overallfunctioning of the Planning and Monitoring Unit (PMU).
Build and maintain a highperforming team in the PMU.
Provide effective programmanagement, managing human and financial resources to effectively achieve theobjectives.
Ensure that deliverables are satisfied in a timelymanner.
Conceptualize a wide range of innovation projectsfor improved public service delivery.
Act as a formal channel of communication betweenthe organization.
Carry out diagnostic study to understand thesocio-economic conditions and analyze the impact (or deficit) of existinggovernment schemes.
Conduct participatory planning and need assessmentexercise in all mining affected villages.
Facilitate Gram Sabhas and organize discussions ondevelopment issues in the village/Panchayat.
Arrange the village wise - list of projects intoAnnual Action Plans, based on the immediate and long term priorities, asdetermined by the people.
Evaluate projects submitted by differentstakeholders to be taken.
Facilitate the approval of the Annual Action Plans.
Oversee the implementation of the approvedprojects, through regular field visits and raise flags at appropriate levels incase of potential delays or cost overruns.
Promote community based monitoring tools likeSocial Audit of projects.
Undertake action-research to discover moreappropriate ways of doing things.
Demonstrate the effectiveness of various projectstaken through various communication mediums.
Prepare documentation of success stories, lessonslearned and impact at periodic intervals.
Any other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
QualificationsRequired
MBA/PGDM/MSW/PG Degree in RuralManagement/ Geo-informatics / Information Technology, Post Graduate Diploma inRural Development /Graduation from any discipline with 5 years\u2019 workexperience/ 2 years after Post graduation with Government organizations.
Should have a minimum of 5 years\u2019total work experience. Preference will be given to experience with Government/Government Organisations/ International Organisations.
