7-10 years of experience in performance testing and engineering without involvement in other areas or interruptions.
Domain expertise in public cloud, distributed systems, microservices architecture, and capacity planning.
Knowledge of AWS.
Understanding of performance engineering design, implementing, and automating benchmarks.
Experience in performance, scalability analysis, and optimizations.
Demonstrated knowledge of systems software and understanding of the impact of locking, caching, and I/O on software performance.
Understanding of performance tuning for infrastructure, platforms, and applications.
The ability to bring clarity to ambiguous situations.
Ability to facilitate and arbitrate technical discussions and to make challenging calls or recommendations.
Work comfortably in a distributed team environment.
BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities
Establish performance benchmarks for the platform.
Design, implement, and maintain a performance certification test harness.
Contribute performance optimizations and refactoring on the entire stack of the platform.
Be an evangelist for performance best practices and tools.
Collaborate with product management, development engineering, and cloud infrastructure teams to find the optimal way to scale applications and the infrastructure.
Troubleshoot complex configuration, infrastructure, networking, and application problems that could impact the product s performance or capacity.
Provide end-to-end cluster scalability, performance, and exception analysis.
Analyze the root cause for latency in individual components and across the system.
Continually look for opportunities to improve the platform, process, and business.
