Job Description

Reporting to the International Payroll Manager, you will coordinate the processing of international payrolls and ensure payroll activities are performed on time and with exceptional quality. The Senior Payroll Specialist is the initial point of contact for employees with payroll-related questions.
- At least 7-10 years of recent experience in payroll at a fast-growing company.
- Experience with EMEA or APAC Payrolls, particularly in Ireland, Netherlands, Italy, and Sweden.
- Strong knowledge of payroll protocols, tax, and labor laws.
- A middle-level knowledge of Excel and an understanding of how to develop and generate ad hoc reports.
- Highly analytical, exceptional organization and prioritization skills with the ability to meet challenging deadlines.
- Understanding how to maintain data confidentiality with a strong sense of professional integrity.
- Strong commitment to customer service and ability to communicate concisely, both written and verbally.
- Proactive, flexible, and assertive personality with a creative approach to problem-solving and a key focus on process improvements.
- A bachelor s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration is preferred.
- Experience managing complex projects.
- Oversee and assist with the processing of international payroll.
- Audit the processing of Payroll.
- Partner with the HR team to ensure payroll data flows seamlessly between HR and payroll and ensure changes are implemented correctly across various systems.
- Act as the system expert for payroll.
- To ensure compliance, apply knowledge of country tax regulations, state taxes (where applicable), wage and hour laws, and local tax requirements.
- Play a key role in new system implementations related to the payroll process. Provide input on payroll processes and perform user testing.
- Lead payroll-related process improvement initiatives with cross-functional partners.
- Support month-end close by providing payroll reports and explanations as needed.
- Support various internal and external audits.
- Maintain payroll records and follow established Company policies to ensure compliance with internal control protocols.
- Respond to employee and manager inquiries and requests regarding payroll matters promptly, professionally, and concisely.
- Maintain special projects and other assigned duties, including system implementations, process improvement projects, and compliance audits.
