Position: Regional Business Development / Sales Lead
Department: Battery Energy Storage Solutions (BESS)

Reports to: Business Head - BESS
Job Summary
The Regional Business Development / Sales Lead - BESS is responsible for growing the company's presence and sales of BESS solutions with the country. The role emphasizes lead generation, strategic account management, client relationships, and brand development to drive revenue and market share.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation and Prospecting:
- Identify, qualify, and nurture leads, building a robust pipeline for consistent growth.
- Develop strategic outreach plans to penetrate new market segments and identify high-potential clients.
- Key Account and Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key accounts, ensuring high customer satisfaction and retention.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions.
- Tender and Proposal Management:
- Lead the development, submission, and follow-up of tenders and proposals in response to client needs.
- Ensure that proposals are strategically positioned to compete effectively in the market.
- Regional Brand Development:
- Represent the company at regional industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility.
- Develop local marketing strategies to build brand recognition and attract potential clients including Product management.
- Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
- Conduct ongoing analysis of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
- Develop and refine sales strategies based on insights from market research to strengthen the companys competitive edge.
- Performance Reporting:
- Report on sales performance metrics, pipeline progression, and regional trends to inform senior leadership.
- Provide actionable insights to improve sales processes, customer experience, and overall performance.
- Contract Negotiation:
- Lead contract negotiations with clients, ensuring terms align with business goals and profit margins.
- Ensure that all contractual obligations and deliverables are met according to client expectations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years in business development, sales, or key account management, ideally within the BESS, renewable energy, or power solutions sectors.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with BESS technology, sales cycles, and effective client relationship management.
- Skills: Proficiency in strategic planning, CRM software, communication, and negotiation.
