Job Description
- Understand the client and maintain good client service in line with established guidelines.
- Understand sensitivity of client engagements and maintain client confidentiality in line with set policies.
- Recommend additional services that could benefit clients.
- Develop a good understanding of breadth of firm services offerings outside of personal area of practice.
- Demonstrate personal actions and behaviors within and outside the workplace reflecting own reputation and the firms brand.
- Review posting of the client’s company financial transactions.
- Delegate jobs to associates and communicate expectation at the onset of the assignment.
- Monitor progress of job with associates and offer support, guidance, mentorship and coaching at every stage.
- Prepare work plan at the beginning of each month.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of various reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate posting of clients’ accounting information including payment vouchers, cheques, supplier invoices, bank and cash book and general ledger journals into the appropriate accounting software as agreed with the client.
- Process and review management accounts, journal entries and credit control accounts to ensure they are in line with the established accounting standards and statutory compliance.
- Review bookkeeping records when required.
- Timely Audit/FS support to be given.
- Ensure safe custody of all client documents for easier retrieval.
- Attend internal and external correspondence in a timely manner.
- Complete time sheets on time as per the policy.
- Any other responsibilities that may be assigned to the job holder by the supervisor from time to time.
