Role & responsibilities

• Sound technical knowledge in Corporate taxation, TDS & GST.
• Working & advising on complex matters of corporate tax, TDS & GST related requirements, handling issues and establishing best practices.
• Hands-on experience for preparation of Tax, TDS, complex GST working, reconciliations, return filing, technical review etc (Advance tax computations / payments, Annual Return filing, TDS calculations/payments & TDS return filing, GSTR 3, 3B, 9, 9C etc working, GST payments & GST return filing).
• Handling Income Tax, TDS, GST related notices, handling assessments & other regulatory requirements.
• Handling Internal audit, Statutory audit, Tax audits & any other audits as applicable.
• Constatly upgrading self & team with the recent regulatory & taxation related developments, ensuring interpretation & appropriate implementation.
• Strong coaching skills in developing team members, building team and conducting trainings across stakeholders to ensure compliances.
• Independent in managing activities, ability to work under pressure & strict regulatory timelines.
• Coordination with stakeholders, technology team to ensure the strict compliance with the regulatory & internal guidelines within timelines.
• Dedicated, innovative, resourceful, analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Review of processes, improvement of processes, automation while ensuring adequate controls & lower risks. Ensuring documentation of processes.
• Handling manual activities to automation transition end to end & manage all relevant tasks associated.
• Handling other activities as may be assigned from time to time.

Preferred candidate profile

• Chartered Accountant with 5-7 years of experience
• Experience in taxation role in Finance Industry, NBFC or Tax Consulting firms (actively working in taxation role)
