Legal Compliance Associate

Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Legal Compliance Associate with over 5 years of experience in handling RERA documentation, electricity department compliances, and other legal compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in regulatory processes, legal documentation, and compliance management to ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations while mitigating legal risks.

Key Responsibilities

1. RERA Compliance

• Manage all aspects of RERA-related documentation, registrations, and compliance filings.
• Ensure timely submission of project updates, quarterly filings, and renewals as required by RERA authorities.
• Act as the main point of contact for RERA-related matters, ensuring the company meets all obligations.

2. Electricity Department Compliance

• Liaise with electricity departments to manage applications, clearances, and regulatory approvals.
• Handle documentation and processes related to power connections, load approvals, and compliance with electricity supply regulations.
• Ensure adherence to local electricity laws and resolve compliance issues proactively.

3. General Legal Compliance

• Oversee compliance with applicable laws, including labor laws, GST, environmental regulations, and municipal bylaws.
• Conduct audits and gap analysis to identify potential non-compliance issues and implement corrective measures.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and MOUs, ensuring legal safeguards are in place.

Key Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Law (LLB/LLM preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in legal compliance, specifically in RERA documentation, electricity department compliance, and other regulatory processes.
• Strong knowledge of RERA regulations and electricity department procedures.
• Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
