Key Result Areas KRA (Accountabilities) (Max 1325 Characters) Supporting Actions (Max 1325 Characters) KRA1 Quality Assurance Ensure inspection of extruded products as per SOPs, to achieve the quality objectives laid down by the customer / organization
To assess the quality of Billets from time to time to ensure right quality.
To develop a quality culture through continual improvements and team working
Analyze reasons for NCRs and initiate, monitor, and implement corrective actions, to prevent recurrence
Ensure procedures and approved practices are followed in the case of products where special testing is required to satisfy the customer
Liaison with external agencies for third party inspections. Analyze MCRs and initiate, monitor, and implement corrective actions, to prevent recurrence of complaints.
Initiate action plans to reduce customer complaints. Identify and train employees for skill updation and on all needs identified for effective working of the systems to develop the right competencies.
To get all relevant international quality certification for Extrusion as well as Surface Treatment Products KRA10 Process Controls Conduct periodic audits in extrusion and surface treatment plants to ensure the right process.
Organize surveys of ageing, solution heat treatment and homogenization furnaces to ensure furnace healthiness and thereby to ensure better heat treatment properties. Ensure quality of Direct Raw material like die steel, ingots, and external billets.
Analyze possibility of modifying process or control parameters to meet customer needs
Coordinate Calibration and validation of critical QC equipment like Romidot, UTM, Conductivity meter etc. Provide training to the workmen involved in process controls KRA2 WCM Implementation Lead Quality Control Subcommittee.
Deployment of QC tools.
Implementation of Quality control projects KRA3 Integrated Management Systems (IMS) Maintain and update all IMS Systems
Identify and obtain international systems Qualicoat and Qualinoid and similar Quality Certifications
Conduct of internal quality audits to adhere to the ISO 9001 2008 system Assist in organizing external audit and certification KRA4 Customer Orientation Visit to Customers for understanding customer requirements and perceptions
Understand Customer process and applications.
Provide inputs for developing customer specific practices. Develop / modify products based on customer inputs. KRA5 Succession Planning To identify and develop successor for each position in the department including his own position KRA6 Technology Upgradation Seek and update quality related improvement projects KRA7 Safety To monitor and eliminate unsafe acts and conditions to achieve zero injuries in the working area. KRA8 Metallurgical Analysis Inputs Furnish metallurgical inputs in the development of new profiles / products as a requirement to increase market share and profitability
Provide metallurgical inputs for the development and heat treatment of new alloys
Coordinate metallurgical analysis of billets or extruded products to meet customer requirements
Upkeep of equipment related to metallurgical analysis KRA9 Product Feasibility (Quality process control inputs in developing new products) Inputs on Quality control parameters during product development stage.
Fix the extrusion, heat treatment including surface treatment parameters for the newly developed products.
Prepare quality plans, SOPs for new products, new requirements, etc. to guide the shop floor in achieving the quality objectives
Transferring of the developed process and control parameters to the shop floor and ensuring its adoption.
Qualifications: Bachelor Of Technology
Minimum Experience Level: 10-15 Years
