Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Rating Developer with 8+ years of overall IT experience and at least 5+ years of hands-on experience in Guidewire Rating to join our team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, with permanent work-from-home flexibility. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Guidewire Rating Engine, integration, and customization within the Guidewire suite, alongside a solid background in software development.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and configure Guidewire Rating Engine for various lines of business, including but not limited to personal, commercial, and specialty insurance.

- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and technical teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver the solutions.

- Customize Guidewire applications, including Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter, focusing on rating-related modules.

- Develop and maintain rating logic, integrating third-party systems for accurate and up-to-date rate calculations.

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and ensure the quality of code delivered, adhering to best practices.

- Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning of Guidewire Rating solutions.

- Provide ongoing support for the deployed systems, identify and resolve issues, and enhance the systems based on business needs.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of rating solutions with other modules and systems.

- Stay updated with the latest trends and features in Guidewire products, incorporating best practices into the development process.

Skills & Qualifications :

- 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5+ years of hands-on Guidewire Rating experience.

- Strong proficiency in Guidewire Rating Engine, including rule-based rating logic, rate book configurations, and integrations.

- Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter.

- Strong knowledge of Guidewire Gosu programming language and Guidewire Studio for rating and configuration.

- Proficiency in SQL, web services (SOAP/REST), and integration technologies.

- Experience working in an Agile development environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions in iterative cycles.

- Strong understanding of the insurance domain, particularly in rating and pricing processes for various insurance products.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work remotely and manage client relationships.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).

Desired Skills :

- Experience with Guidewire Cloud or other Guidewire product cloud versions.

- Certification in Guidewire development or related areas is a plus.

- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Additional Information :

- Contract to hire : This position will initially be a contract role, with the potential to transition to a full-time permanent position based on performance and project needs.
