Backend Developer - PostgreSQL+Typescript+Nodejs+Admin

Job Description:

We are looking for a backend developer with experience in developing PostgreSQL backed secure APIs. Our backend utilizes Postgres features like RLS, PostGIS, PostgREST. This position will work with tech leads to understand new features needed for business operations; and perform design, documentation, testing and implementation matching those needs using the technologies mentioned above.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, validate, optimize and maintain Postgres database schema at the heart of the software stack

- Collaborate with our cross-functional development team to design and implement database changes

- Enforce Postgres RLS where appropriate

- Design and document and implement APIs meeting business requirements using manual and/or automated methods

- Implement business logic including authorization

- Implement, optimize, maintain and improve above APIs, using Node+Typescript

- Develop Admin screens using lowcode methods using Directus or similar when applicable

- Implement automated tests using Playwright or similar framework

- Use version control with Git and GitHub for collaborative development.

Qualifications:

- Production expertise with PostgreSQL.

- Experience as a Back End Developer

- Proficiency in Node/Typescript

- Experience working with RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, PosgREST desirable

- Experience implementing user authentication and authorization.

- Knowledge of Git, GitHub, and collaborative development practices.

- Experience with monitoring, turning Postgres in Azure or AWS

- Knowledge of Python and Django will a big plus

The interview:

Will test your understanding of SQL concepts

Depth of your understanding in Typescript (or some other language) language and ecosystem.

Gauge your experience with API development
