Npd Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Market research: Research the target market to understand customer needs and ensure demand for the product
• Design: Use CAD software to create prototypes and iterate on designs
• Testing: Test prototypes to troubleshoot issues and ensure compliance with quality control and safety standards
• Manufacturing: Select materials and manufacturing processes, and create supply chains
• Project management: Manage timelines and budgets, and support manufacturing teams during launch
• Documentation: Create and review engineering documentation and specifications
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams including marketing, operations, and quality assurance

• Project managementPlan, schedule, budget, and allocate resources for projects from start to finish
• Problem-solvingBreak down complex situations, think critically, and use all available resources to find solutions
• CommunicationCommunicate effectively with other stakeholders, such as engineers, marketers, and business executives
• PrototypingLead prototyping efforts to validate design concepts and ensure manufacturability
• Software proficiencyBe proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD tools
