Job Description
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle database systems.
- Monitor database performance and perform regular system checks to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
- Assist in database backup and recovery procedures.
- Support database security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Collaborate with senior database administrators and other IT staff to optimize database performance.
- Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Following with Oracle support for day-to-day major errors to imply permanent fixes and for availability of bug fix and patching.
- Database activities such as creation of schema, roles, providing grants, managing tablespaces & indexes and object validations.
- Scheduling scripts and procedures through oracle jobs and crontab.
- Proactively detect problems related to service or infrastructure operations and conduct diagnostics.
- Generating AWR, ADDM reports for analyzing performance related issues.
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Oracle database architecture and administration.
- Familiarity with SQL and PL/SQL programming.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
