2D UI/UX Designer

We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate 2D UI/UX Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating visually engaging, intuitive, and user-friendly interface designs for web, mobile, and game applications. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and other designers to deliver a seamless and enjoyable user experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of component based design, a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, and an ability to translate complex ideas into simple, elegant solutions.

NOTE: We have most client work in USA timezones so ideal candidates must be open to work in timezones ranging from EST/EDT - PST/PDT.

Responsibilities:

• Design and create high-quality, visually appealing user interfaces for websites, mobile apps, games, and other interactive platforms.
• Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and user flows that demonstrate the structure, layout, and behavior of the product.
• Collaborate with UX researchers to gather user insights, conduct usability testing, and iterate on design based on user feedback and testing results.
• Focus on crafting intuitive interactions and smooth transitions that enhance the overall user experience.
• Work closely with developers and product managers to ensure design solutions are technically feasible and aligned with project goals and timelines.
• Contribute to and maintain a consistent design system, ensuring a unified look and feel across all platforms and products.
• Apply principles of user-centered design to create interfaces that are easy to use, efficient, and provide a positive user experience.
• Revise and refine designs based on feedback from stakeholders and end users to continuously improve the products usability and visual appeal.
• Keep up-to-date with design trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure our products remain modern and user-friendly.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (typically 1- 4 years) in UI/UX design, preferably in web, mobile apps or game design.
• Strong proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Knowledge of prototyping tools like InVision or Axure is a plus.
• A solid understanding of UX principles, user research methodologies, and usability testing practices.
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates your design process, problem-solving abilities, and examples of UI/UX design work in real-world applications.
• Exceptional eye for detail, with the ability to create pixel-perfect designs while maintaining consistency across different screen sizes and platforms.
• Experience creating wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and UI assets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present ideas clearly and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering functional and aesthetically pleasing solutions for complex design challenges.

Preferred Skills (Bonus):

• Experience designing user interfaces for games, including HUDs, menus, in-game interactions, and visual feedback.
• Experience designing UI/UX for mobile applications (iOS/Android), with a strong understanding of platform specific design guidelines (e.g. Material Design, Apples Human Interface Guidelines).
