Procurement Engineer

Established in 1986, Sungov Engineering is a group involved in design, manufacturing and supply of filtration, separation and other engineered equipment and systems is looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, results-driven candidate to join our Procurement team to execute the following representative functions:

Location: Delhi Office

For the assigned projects;

• Review material lists, technical delivery conditions (TDCs) received from Engineering team
• Float enquiries, coordinate technical evaluations received offers from vendors
• Negotiate pricing and terms, zero in on preferred vendor for ordering
• Raise vendor purchase order on Zoho platform
• Follow up & ensure timely delivery of all materials before committed delivery dates at factory stores
• Coordinate with stores and QC for material inward in factory stores/production floor
• Adhere to company ethics & integrity policy/guidelines

The ideal candidate shall have the following credentials:

• A Bachelors degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering; 4+ years of relevant experience
• A strong network of vendors for various products like flanges, plates, pipes, pipe fittings, forged fittings, castings, fasteners, gaskets, motors, gearboxes, instruments, control panels, bearings, PPE items, structural & other fabrication/project items
• Exposure to the above products in various metallurgies like carbon steel, low temperature carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, nickel alloys & copper alloys
• Exposure in procurement of production machinery like plate bending machine, welding machines, furnaces & ovens, rollers, positioners, etc
• Exposure to ASME, ASTM, ANSI standards. Experience in participation of an ASME U stamp audit is a plus
• Exposure in procurement of materials with specific technical delivery conditions including supplementary testing
• Exposure in importing of raw materials where necessary is a plus
