Job Title: Manager - Projects (Tamil Nadu Chili, Coriander, and Cotton)

Location: Vilathikulam Taluk, Thoothukudi District, Tamil Nadu

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Project Manager to oversee and manage organic farming projects across the entire supply chain. The role involves supervising the operational activities, ensuring product quality, and driving sustainable farming practices. The ideal candidate will have expertise in agricultural science & technology and a strong background in project management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Oversee and manage organic farming operations, including suppliers, field officers, and vendors across project areas.
• Quality Control: Ensure product quality and specifications meet customer requirements, while managing daily activities and field officer expenses.
• Supplier Coordination: Identify, negotiate, and manage suppliers for the procurement of goods.
• Certification & Compliance: Develop and implement internal control systems for organic certification and crop production plans.
• Advisory Services: Provide technical advice and conduct farmer meetings and training sessions on organic farming techniques.
• Supply Chain Management: Set up cost-effective supply chains from farm to warehouse; oversee inventory management, stock audits (monthly & weekly), and quality control during warehousing and dispatch.
• Financial Management: Work alongside the accounts and procurement teams to manage purchase orders, budgets, and project expenses.
• Research & Development: Lead field trials and develop standardized Organic Package of Practices (OPP) for various crops.
• Farmer Engagement: Promote sustainable organic farming practices and educate farmers on chemical-free agriculture from sowing to harvest.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Educational Background:
• Essential: B.Sc. (Agriculture) / M.Sc. (Agriculture):
• Desirable: MBA (Agri).
• Language Proficiency: Fluent in Tamil.
• Skills: Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in agro-commodities, organic farming, or a related field.
• Travel: Willingness to travel to various project locations across India.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in agro-commodity supply chain activity
