Job Title: HOD/Sr. Manager – Finance & Accounts


Job Description:
The HOD/Sr. Manager – Finance & Accounts will be responsible for managing the financial health of the organization, ensuring statutory compliance, and overseeing the financial operations of Company. This role demands strategic planning, leadership, and hands-on expertise in finance and accounts, specifically in the construction industry.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy and Planning:
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to align with the company’s short-term and long-term goals.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Accounting and Reporting:
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including ledger maintenance, reconciliation, and journal entries.
  • Prepare accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure timely preparation of MIS reports for management.

  • Budgeting and Cost Control:
  • Prepare and manage budgets for projects and departments.
  • Monitor project costs, profitability, and cash flows to ensure optimal resource utilization.

  • Compliance and Taxation:
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, including GST, TDS, and income tax.
  • Coordinate with tax consultants and auditors for filings and assessments.
  • Manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with applicable standards.

  • Project Finance Management:
  • Track project finances, including invoicing, collections, and payment schedules.
  • Liaise with project teams for financial planning and monitoring.

  • Banking and Fund Management:
  • Manage banking operations, including fund disbursement, loan negotiations, and financial closures.
  • Ensure effective cash flow and liquidity management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.
  • Experience: 8-15 years of experience in Finance & Accounts, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial planning, and statutory compliance.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and financial tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
