Job Title: Legal Head

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Real Estate Legal Head to oversee the legal aspects of our real estate transactions and operations. The ideal candidate will provide legal guidance, manage contracts, ensure regulatory compliance, and mitigate legal risks associated with property acquisitions, sales, leasing, and development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Legal Advisory and Compliance:

• Provide legal counsel on real estate transactions, development projects, leasing agreements, and property management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal property laws, zoning regulations, and environmental standards.
• Keep the company informed of changes in real estate laws and regulations and recommend necessary adaptations.

2. Contract Management:

• Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts, including purchase agreements, leases, joint ventures, financing documents, and construction contracts.
• Oversee proper execution and filing of all property-related legal documents.
• Resolve disputes related to contract terms or performance.

3. Risk Management:

• Identify potential legal risks in real estate deals and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Conduct due diligence on property acquisitions, including title searches, zoning compliance, and environmental assessments.
• Resolve any disputes or legal challenges related to property ownership or transactions.

4. Litigation Management:

• Manage litigation or disputes related to real estate matters, including property rights, tenant issues, or contract breaches.
• Liaise with external legal counsel when necessary and coordinate case strategies.

5. Coordination with Stakeholders:

• Collaborate with internal departments such as finance, operations, and development to align legal objectives with business goals.
• Act as a liaison between the company and external legal representatives, regulatory authorities, and real estate professionals.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of legal proceedings, contracts, and compliance documentation.
• Prepare regular reports for senior management on legal risks, ongoing litigation, and transaction statuses.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Law (LLB or equivalent); Masterâs degree (LLM) is preferred.
• Experience: 9+ years of experience in real estate law, preferably in a managerial or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of property laws, real estate transactions, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience handling complex real estate transactions and litigation.
