Senior Legal Counsel

Reporting to: Senior Director - Legal, India

What this job involves:

• Support legal and compliance matters for our Work Dynamics business in India with primary focus on commercial transactional work
• Advise on, review, draft and negotiate commercial contracts such as consultancy agreements, services agreements, RFPs, design and build contracts, tender responses etc. with clients and vendors, and drafting/managing contract templates
• Identify and manage risk exposures, and delivering proactive, effective and strategic advice for operations in India
• Assist with development of processes to identify and manage legal risks, management of regulatory compliance, ethics and compliance issue management, dispute management, rendering legal training etc.
• Direct interaction with internal clients as well as external parties such as clients, vendors and other third parties.
• Provide other legal support as directed from time to time by Senior Director - Legal, India and in liaison with other colleagues in APAC, as required.

To apply you need to be / have:

Employee specification

• A law graduate from reputable law school with ~7-8 years of PQE
• Prior relevant experience in commercial transactional work in private practice or an in-house position
• Excellent knowledge of Indian laws including but not limited to corporate and commercial laws, labour laws, data privacy laws, real estate laws etc.

• Detail oriented and able to simplify the complex
• Be a team player. Able to work well with others and manage stakeholders
• Ability to effectively juggle priorities
