Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Lead and supervise a team of branch managers within the cluster, overseeing daily operations including loan disbursements, collections, customer service, and compliance with MFI policies.
- Ensure smooth branch operations by addressing challenges and collaborating with support functions.
- Financial Performance: Analyse the financial performance of each branch in the cluster, identifying areas for improvement.
- Set and achieve collection targets, monitor delinquency rates, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Manage credit risk by reviewing loan applications and ensuring proper due diligence.
- Business Development: Identify potential new borrowers through market research and outreach efforts.
- Implement strategies to grow the loan portfolio and acquire new customers.
- Cross-sell additional MFI products and services to existing clients.
- Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with customers, promptly addressing concerns and resolving issues.
- Conduct regular customer visits to monitor loan utilization and assess potential risks.
- Promote financial literacy and responsible borrowing practices.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for microfinance operations.
- Monitor the loan portfolio for credit risks and implement necessary mitigation strategies.
- Establish fraud prevention measures within the cluster.
- Team Development: Coach and mentor branch managers to enhance their performance and leadership capabilities.
- Provide training to branch staff on new products, policies, and procedures.
- Recognize and reward high-performing team members.
Required Qualification:
- Demonstrated experience in branch management, preferably as a Branch Manager or in a similar role.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and production goals.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Effective leadership and human resources management capabilities.
- Results-oriented with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
