We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Development Manager to join our team in the pharmaceutical industry. The primary responsibility of this role will be to establish and maintain strategic partnerships with third-party manufacturers to secure the best rates for the production of pharmaceutical products. Following the successful negotiation of manufacturing contracts, the manager will oversee the marketing of these products under our brand name, driving growth and increasing market share.
Key Responsibilities:
Third-Party Manufacturer Relations:
Identify and engage with potential third-party manufacturers for pharmaceutical products.
Negotiate manufacturing contracts to secure competitive pricing, quality assurance, and reliable delivery timelines.
Build and nurture long-term relationships with key third-party manufacturers to ensure sustainable and mutually beneficial partnerships.
Market Analysis and Strategy:
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive pricing to identify opportunities for cost-effective manufacturing.
Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, regulatory, and supply chain) to ensure alignment of pricing, quality, and delivery expectations.
Develop and execute a pricing strategy that enhances profitability while maintaining product
competitiveness in the market.
Ensure all third-party manufacturing processes comply with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
Collaborate with the regulatory team to ensure timely product registrations and approvals in relevant markets.
Reporting and Performance Tracking:
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including cost savings, contract performance, and product sales.
Provide regular updates and performance reports to senior management.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelors degree in Business, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
Proven experience in business development within the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in third-party manufacturing negotiations.
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, market dynamics, and industry regulations.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, and regulatory teams.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical branding and market penetration strategies is an advantage.
