Job Summary.

We are seeking a skilled Steel Estimator to join our team.

The Steel Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate estimates for steel fabrication and erection projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation.

The role is critical in ensuring project profitability by calculating costs, materials, labor, and ensuring all variables are accounted for in the estimation process.

Key Responsibilities.

Cost Estimation:Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for steel fabrication, erection, and associated materials for commercial, industrial, and residential projects.

Review Blueprints/Plans:Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and documents to determine the project scope, required materials, and cost factors.

Material Takeoffs:Perform detailed material takeoffs for steel beams, columns, plates, bolts, and other structural steel components.

Budget and Forecasting:Provide clear, concise estimates with detailed breakdowns of materials, labor, and additional project costs.

Bid Preparation:Prepare bid packages and proposals for submission to clients, ensuring that all required documentation is included.
