MySQL Database Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced MySQL Developer with 4-6 years of experience in data processing and development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MySQL database management, data modeling, and SQL programming. They should also possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Experience:

4-6 years of experience with MySQL database development and management.
Proven experience in designing and optimizing complex database schemas.
Experience with other database systems such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
Familiarity with cloud database services such as AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL, or Azure SQL Database.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Perl for data processing.
Experience with data visualization and reporting tools.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in SQL and MySQL, including advanced query writing and optimization.
Experience with data processing tools and ETL processes.
Familiarity with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Knowledge of database security best practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Database Design and Development:

Design, develop, and maintain MySQL databases to ensure high performance, availability, and security.
Create and optimize database schemas, tables, and indexes.
Develop and implement complex stored procedures, triggers, and functions.

Data Processing:
Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure efficient data flow between systems.
Implement data quality and validation checks to ensure data integrity.

Performance Tuning:
Monitor and optimize database performance, including query optimization and index tuning.
Identify and resolve database performance issues, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies.
Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with application developers to integrate database solutions with application code.
Provide support for database-related issues and troubleshoot problems as they arise.
Collaborate with team members to define and implement database-related best practices and standards.

Documentation and Reporting:
Document database designs, configurations, and processes.
Generate reports and provide insights based on data analysis.
