Roles and Responsibilities

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in data systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in creating and maintaining automated testing frameworks, ensuring the accuracy and quality of complex data pipelines and systems. This role offers an opportunity to work collaboratively across teams, driving excellence in data integrity and process automation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Automation Development:

• Design and implement QA automation frameworks, including data-driven and BDD approaches.
• Develop and maintain test scripts using Java or Python to automate testing processes.

2. Data Quality Assurance:

• Ensure the reliability and accuracy of ETL processes and data transformations.
• Validate data flows and transformations against business and technical requirements.

3. Collaboration:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, developers, and product managers, to understand requirements and address issues.
• Provide clear and concise documentation for testing procedures and findings.

4. Workflow Automation:

• Leverage workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow to automate and monitor data processes.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for seamless integration and deployment of data systems.

5. Problem Solving:

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues in data systems and workflows.
• Proactively identify areas for process and system improvements.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proficiency in SQL and relational database systems.
• Strong expertise in QA automation frameworks and methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Java or Python.
• Solid understanding of ETL processes and best practices in data transformation.
• Experience with workflow automation and CI/CD practices for data pipelines.
• Familiarity with data orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ yrs Experience in testing large-scale data systems or big data technologies.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and tools (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Familiarity with performance testing for data systems.
