General Manager Agriculture

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Agriculture Operations to oversee and manage the entire agricultural operations of our company. This includes ensuring compliance with industry standards, conducting audits, driving commercial sales, and managing the production processes in our agricultural processing plant. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of the agricultural industry, and experience in managing operational teams in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Compliance & Audits:
   
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international agricultural regulations, quality standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Oversee regular audits of agricultural practices, production processes, and overall operations to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
• Implement corrective actions based on audit results and ensure adherence to safety and operational protocols.
2. Commercial Sales:
   
• Develop and execute strategies to maximize sales and business growth in the agricultural sector.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and partners.
• Analyze market trends, identify new business opportunities, and expand the companys footprint in the agriculture sector.
3. Production & Processing Plant Management:
   
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the agricultural production and processing plant to ensure optimal productivity and quality.
• Coordinate with production teams to meet production targets, maintain inventory levels, and improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor plant performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance plant operations.
4. Leadership & Team Management:
   
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managers and staff within the agriculture and production departments.
• Foster a collaborative, performance-driven culture while ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all team members.
• Coordinate cross-departmental efforts to ensure seamless operations across commercial, compliance, and production functions.
5. Financial & Budget Management:
   
• Oversee budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation for agricultural operations, ensuring financial goals and KPIs are met.
• Develop reports and metrics to track the financial performance of agricultural operations, including sales and production.
