Job Description
Role Overview:
The Head of Project Management is responsible for driving all stakeholders in ensuring successful execution of multiple customer orders simultaneously for a globally deliverable solution through setting of priorities, proactive planning, agile mid-course correction, optimizing processes, strategic alignment and high level of engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience:
Experience:
15-18 years of Industry Experience in Machine Building/ EPC Industry where multiple Customer Orders are executed simultaneously. Minimum 10-12 yrs in Project Mgmt. Should have independently handled end-end project execution for Indian as well as International Customers.
Education:
Education:
Bachelors degree in mechanical / electrical engineering. Preferably with PMP/ PG Diploma in Project Mgmt.
Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Planning (Delivery Schedule /Time Management)
- Develop Project Plan based on the clear understanding of scope, Customer expectations & contractual deliveries, Resource & Capacity availability, Bottleneck operations.
- Set Priorities and bring alignment of Internal stake holders to adhere to the schedule.
- Identifying potential risks and proactively address issues with timely escalation.
- Monitor & review the progress, solve issues, get the stake holders on board and keep the project on track.
- Conduct regular project status meetings with project engineers and stakeholders.
Stakeholder & Communication Management:
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders- Customers, Senior Leadership & Cross-functional teams.
- Conduct Kick-off meetings, FAT meetings with Customer.
- Proactively communicate project status updates and critical decisions to stakeholders including Customer.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns effectively.
Scope Management
- Asks relevant & pertinent questions that could have been missed by functional managers
- Detect unstated Assumptions, Understand the Risks involved and Prevent scope creep.
- Ensure effective project closure.
Performance Reporting & Analysis:
- Establish and enforce standardized project management methodologies, tools, and templates.
- Analyze project data on QCD parameters to identify trends and initiate improvements.
Team Development:
- Provide ongoing coaching & support to project engineers.
- Establish clear performance expectations and conduct regular reviews.
Required Skills:
- Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate & inspire team, fostering collaboration & conflict resolution.
- Analytical skills: Ability to assess project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative working: Can work with ease across hierarchy, with external teams of Customer as well as internally with Sales, Proposals, Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement and Services Teams.
