Job Title: VP - Design & Architecture

Position Overview:
We are seeking a visionary and experienced Head of Design Team to lead our dynamic design
department at STED. This role is pivotal in shaping the creative direction of our projects and
ensuring the highest quality in architectural design. The ideal candidate will possess a strong
portfolio of innovative design work, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of
both current design trends and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of architects and designers to achieve excellence
in their work.
Oversee project teams, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
Set clear goals and expectations for design quality, creativity, and adherence to
project timelines.
Design Oversight:
Provide creative direction and guidance on all design projects, from initial
concept through to completion.
Review and critique design work, offering constructive feedback to enhance
project outcomes.
Ensure designs meet client requirements, budget constraints, and regulatory
standards.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and translate it into innovative
design solutions.
Present design concepts and progress to clients, stakeholders, and project partners.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners.
Strategic Planning:
Contribute to the development of the firm's strategic vision and design approach.
Identify and implement best practices and industry trends to enhance the firm's
design capabilities.
Drive design innovation and ensure the firm remains competitive in the
architectural market.
Project Management:
Oversee the design phase of projects, ensuring they are completed on time and
within budget.
Coordinate with other departments (e.g., engineering, construction) to ensure
seamless project execution.
Manage resources effectively and allocate design team members to projects based
on their skills and experience.
Quality Assurance:
Implement and enforce design standards and quality control measures.
Address any design issues or challenges promptly to minimize project disruptions.
Ensure all design documentation is accurate and complies with legal and
professional standards.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.

Experience:
Minimum 15-20 years of experience in architectural design, with at least 7+ years
in a leadership role.
Proven track record of successful project design and execution.
Experience working on a diverse range of Commercial interior projects.

Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional creative and conceptual design abilities.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative
Suite).
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
In-depth knowledge of design principles, construction methods, and building
codes.

Certifications:
Licensed architect (preferred).
