Quality Engineer, Quality Sr. Engineer (Kitchen Appliances)

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Control & Testing

• Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products for defects or inconsistencies.
• Perform rigorous functionality, durability, and safety testing on appliances such as air fryers, kettles, and induction cookers.
• Create detailed testing protocols and ensure adherence to quality benchmarks.

2. Process Improvement

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for recurring defects.
• Lead Lean Six Sigma or other quality improvement projects to optimize production.

3. Compliance Management

• Ensure all products comply with international standards like ISO 9001, CE, and RoHS.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for audits and regulatory submissions.
• Conduct internal audits and supplier audits to ensure consistent compliance.

4. Supplier Quality Assurance

• Collaborate with suppliers to establish quality standards for incoming materials.
• Evaluate supplier performance through regular audits and inspections.
• Address and resolve supplier-related quality issues.

5. Customer Feedback Integration

• Analyze customer complaints and warranty claims to identify areas for improvement.
• Drive product enhancements based on feedback and market requirements.

6. Data Analysis & Reporting

• Use statistical tools to analyze production and quality data.
• Prepare detailed reports for management, highlighting trends and improvement plans.
• Develop real-time quality dashboards for monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).

7. Training & Collaboration

• Train production staff on quality standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and supply chain, to ensure quality at every stage.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: 4-9 years of experience in quality engineering in a manufacturing environment, preferably with kitchen appliances.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of quality tools like FMEA, SPC, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in quality standards and compliance frameworks (ISO 9001, CE, RoHS).
• Expertise in inspection tools (calipers, micrometers) and quality testing software.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and implement improvements.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Preferred: Certifications like CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
