EdIndia Foundation is looking for a State Head for its program in Raipur- Chhattisgarh. The State Head will get opportunities to manage and work actively with Teacher-students, colleges & DIETs and engage them in several interventions of EdIndia’s Projects. Key Responsibilities: 1. Manage implementation of the Foundation’s program operations across the state and provide strategic direction for enhancing its scale and effectiveness. 2. Lead a team of Project Coordinators/Officers, monitor performance, and address concerns. 3. Collaborate with SCERT, DIETs, and PSTEIs across the state to strengthen the program in the state. 4. Negotiate and manage MOUs with the respective government bodies and private institutes to maximize program participation. 5. Lead interventions across the state including organizing workshops, training programs, and learning circles. 6. Represent Sterlite EdIndia Foundation at strategic forums and events to raise program awareness and visibility in the state. 7. Stay apprised of the education ecosystem in Chhattisgarh to adapt program strategies effectively. 8. Take ownership of the program in hand, driving all three strands (community, teacher education, and data analytics) of the organization’s operations in the state. Education and Experience: 1. Candidate must be a post-graduate in any of the following fields: MSW, M.Ed., D.El. A Master’s in Education will be preferred 2. Have at least 10 years of work experience 3. Candidate must have experience of 3-5 years in the field of Teacher-Education/ Education/ Development sector and managing projects 4. Candidates with experience in working with SSA, SCERT, or DIETs will be preferred 5. Must have experience in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing projects Knowledge, Skills, and Capabilities: 1. Thorough understanding of the Teacher-education system in India and issues facing the sector. 2. Knowledge of government policies and schemes related to teacher training in Chhattisgarh. 3. Familiarity with different kinds of teacher-education institutes like DIETs, SCERTs, and PSTEIs. 4. Strategic thinking and program management skills to scale initiatives at a state-wide level. 5. Excellent communication skills to network, negotiate and engage with stakeholders. 6. Ability to facilitate a group of teachers/faculty/students in meetings/workshops. 7. Ability to develop and execute plans to achieve aggressive scale targets. 8. Comfort working with ambiguity and changing priorities in a dynamic environment. 9. Ability to adapt quickly to situations and find solutions pragmatically. 10. Candidate must have a functional knowledge of Hindi and English
