Platform Engineer - IT Infrastructure (3-8 yrs)

Role : Platform Engineer

Location : Remote, India

Technologies : Cloud formation, AWS, GitLab Pipelines, Prometheus and Grafana, CI/CD, Docker, Maven, and Python programming.

Responsibilities :

- Design and build multiple AWS Infrastructure templates using CloudFormation, adhering to best practices and security principles.

- Manage Secure DevOps infrastructure, containerized services, and automated deployment on ECS Clusters, EC2 Instances and Lambda functions resulting in 99.99% uptime and faster deployments.

- Develop GitLab Pipelines using Python programming & AWS CloudFormation to enable automation for provisioning applications & infrastructure in AWS cloud.

- Improve observability by designing and implementing monitoring and log analysis tools such as AWS CloudWatch Log Groups, Alarms, Dashboards, Prometheus and Grafana, resulting in faster troubleshooting and reduced downtime.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement Cloud Architecture Design principles and best CICD practices like DevSecOps.

- Extensively work on optimizing CI/CD for Web & Mobile applications in terms of integrating Security (SCA, SAST, DAST) and automated Testing using Gitlab pipelines.

- Defining branching & merging strategies based on the release, Delivering DevSecOps, AWS Cloud and JIRA sessions

Qualifications :

- 3-5+ years of proven experience as a Platform Engineer

- 3+ years of Python programming

- Solid experience with git-based workflows (GitOps)

- Extensive experience in AWS cloud services, including networking, VPCs, VGWs, DNS, S3, ECS, EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudFormation etc.

- Proficient experience working in continuous, zero downtime deployment environments.

- Must have significant experience with immutable deployment and infrastructure as code patterns.

- Familiar with Micro-service architectures. Decoupled systems and how to build them.

- Must have significant experience with containers (Docker), container orchestration (Kubernetes/ECS) and microservice architectures.

- Must have significant experience working in Linux/command line environment.

- Must have experience writing technical documentation for a technical audience.

- Need to be comfortable with: Maven, Makefile, Packer, CloudFormation

- Need to be comfortable with debugging through remote observability tools
