Projects Co-Ordinator

We are seeking an experienced Projects Coordinator to join our team, reporting directly to the Managing Director (MD). This role is crucial in overseeing and managing multiple civil engineering projects, from the initial tendering process to the final completion. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in civil engineering, particularly in project management, and will be skilled at coordinating between project teams, clients (mostly government officials), and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Oversee and manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and compliance with safety standards and quality expectations.
• Coordination: Act as a second-line person to the MD, effectively monitoring all aspects of ongoing projects through the respective project management teams.
• Client Interaction: Engage with government officials and other clients to maintain positive relationships, address concerns, and ensure alignment on project requirements and progress.
• Team Management: Assess and expand the project team as required, both in terms of engineering staff and labor resources.
• Tendering & Bidding: Supervise the tendering process, reviewing all technical and commercial aspects of bids.
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure that all projects meet regulatory standards and proper documentation is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
• Reporting: Provide regular updates to the MD on project status, highlighting key risks, achievements, and areas requiring attention.
• Budget & Resource Management: Monitor project budgets and ensure efficient allocation and use of resources, minimizing wastage.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Must have a degree from a recognized institution).
• Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in a project managerial role, with extensive experience in managing civil engineering projects (preferably in the public/government sector).
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of all types of civil engineering works (construction, structural, infrastructure, etc.).
• Proven experience in coordinating and managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with government officials and stakeholders.
• Ability to lead and manage teams, ensuring the right balance of technical expertise and labor resources.
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Proficiency in project management software and MS Office tools.
