Position Overview:
The Manager-Projects will be responsible for end-to-end project management, including planning,
execution, monitoring, and reporting. This role will oversee project budgeting and donor
management to ensure successful delivery and sustainability of projects in line with organizational
goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management:
o Lead end-to-end project management, including planning, execution, monitoring,
and closure.
o Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and schedules.
o Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure project milestones are
achieved on time and within scope.
2. Project Budgeting:
o Monitor ongoing project expenditures and ensure they align with approved budgets.
o Provide regular budgetary reports, highlighting variances and ensuring corrective
measures are taken.
3. Donor Management:
o Engage with existing donors, ensuring timely and transparent communication
regarding project updates and performance.
o Prepare detailed donor reports, including financials and project impact analysis.
o Identify potential funding opportunities and assist in proposal writing and
submission.
4. Monitoring & Evaluation:
o Implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track the progress and success
of projects.
o Conduct regular project reviews to assess performance and impact.
o Provide feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement based on data
and field observations.
5. Team Leadership:
o Manage cross-functional project teams, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and
efficient collaboration.
o Provide mentorship and guidance to project team members to enhance
performance and foster professional growth.
6. Stakeholder Coordination:
o Work closely with external stakeholders, including government bodies, community
leaders, and partner organizations, to ensure project alignment with community
needs.
o Represent the organization in meetings with stakeholders, donors, and partner
organizations.
7. Required Skill Set:
o Strong project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects
simultaneously.
o Excellent budgeting and financial management capabilities.
o Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
o Flexible in travelling
Required Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelors/Mates Degree in Project Management or related field Postgraduate
degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Project Management, or a related field.
o Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in working in a similar role within an NGO
or the social sector. Managing projects within the social sector.
o Proven track record in project budgeting and financial management.
o Demonstrated experience in managing donor relationships and reporting.
