Senior Manager - Yarn Technologist

Role & responsibilities:-

Yarn technologist with Textile Chemistry background.

1. Monitoring current supplies of yarns qualitatively for the group.
2. Setting up a more robust quality supply chain and inward inspections of RM.
3. Maintaining Yarn supply and supplier metrics
4. Analysing and pinpointing problem areas in RM.
5. Trouble shooting on yarns. Qualitatively and quantitatively
6. Trouble shooting on chemical compliances in yarns.
7. Reducing RM costs with suppliers
8. Developing alternative supply chain
9. Helping Suppliers with Issue resolutions.
10. Vendor Mill evaluation and inspection with site visits.
11. Aware of REACH, ASOS, MRSLs, RSLs, etc.
12. Aware of chemical Compliances required by US and EU retailers.
13. Approving of declarations to buyers,
14. maintaining and updating frequently, downward declarations and testing reports from suppliers.
15. Helping in Product innovations with regards to speciality yarns.

Preferred candidate profile

1. At least 10 to 15 years of work experience as Yarn Technologist in Textile Industry.

2. Experienced in Spinning as well as Filament yarn (All processes) and Yarn Dyeing industry.

3. Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

4. Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

5. Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including senior management, employees, and other departments.

6. Strong written and oral communication skills, especially in English languages.

7. CANDIDATE MUST BE FROM TEXTILE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY.
