Data Scientist (5-8 yrs)

Data Scientist with 5-8 yrs of overall experience with at least 3.5 yrs of experience relevant to this position.

Location : Chennai OR Bengaluru

Working model : Work from office (5-day week)

Roles and Responsibilities :

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams :

- Work closely with data scientists, data engineers, software engineers, data managers, and business partners to understand business challenges and deliver impactful data science solutions.

- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals.

Develop Scalable Data Science Products :

- Design, prototype, and build reusable and scalable data science solutions that integrate statistical or machine learning algorithms.

- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure these solutions are production-ready, reliable, and maintainable.

Perform Data Analysis :

- Conduct thorough data analyses to identify patterns, trends, and actionable business insights.

- Communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Apply Advanced Technical Skills :

- Use advanced programming skills in languages like Python, Go, Java, or C++ to develop data-driven applications.

- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to manipulate and analyze large datasets.

Leverage Statistical and Machine Learning Expertise :

- Apply a strong understanding of statistical and machine learning techniques to solve complex problems.

- Design and evaluate experiments using advanced experimental design and analysis methods.

Manage the Data Science Product Lifecycle :

- Oversee the entire lifecycle of data science projects, from conception to productionization and ongoing maintenance.

- Document processes, methodologies, and results to ensure knowledge sharing and reproducibility.

Implement Data Science Best Practices :

- Ensure that data science solutions are developed using industry best practices, including robust testing, scalability, and efficiency.

- Stay updated with emerging tools and technologies to continuously enhance the quality of deliverables.

Drive Value Through Data :

- Maintain a customer-centric approach, ensuring that solutions address real business problems and deliver measurable value.

- Balance swift execution with attention to detail to meet business timelines without compromising quality.

Requirements :


- Experience working closely with other data scientists, data engineers' software engineers, data managers and business partners.

- Can build scalable, re-usable, impactful data science products, usually containing statistical or machine learning algorithms, in collaboration with data engineers and software engineers.

- Can carry out data analyses to yield actionable business insights.

- Hands-on experience (typically 5+ years) designing, planning, prototyping, productionizing, maintaining and documenting reliable and scalable data science products in complex environments.

- Applied knowledge of data science tools and approaches across all data lifecycle stages.

- Thorough understanding of underlying mathematical foundations of statistics and machine learning.

- Development experience in one or more object-oriented programming languages (e.g. Python, Go, Java, C++)

- Advanced SQL knowledge. Knowledge of experimental design and analysis.

- Customer-centric and pragmatic mindset. Focus on value delivery and swift execution, while maintaining attention to detail
