Job Description
- Conduct investigations into suspected cases of internal staff account irregularities, loan frauds and other staff matters, utilizing various data sources and investigative techniques.
- Analyse complex data sets, identifying patterns and connections to support investigation or fact-finding conclusions.
- Select the samples for staff account review basis the plan agreed.
- Develop and execute investigative plans, determining the appropriate scope of investigation based on a risk assessment and other internal/regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct interviews with staff members and obtain the interview statements.
- Prepare clear, concise, and well-supported investigative reports, show cause notices, and executive summaries.
- Effectively communicate investigative findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and recommend improvements to internal controls and processes to mitigate future financial crime risks.
- Maintain meticulous records and documentation throughout the investigative process.
- Provide support / assistance on other ad hoc requirements such as preparing meeting decks and presentations, providing responses to other departments/regulatory bodies/group, etc.
- Liaise with Group on such matters.
- Ensure compliance to all policies and procedures laid down by the bank
- 5-8 years of experience in financial crime investigation, with a focus on internal staff account monitoring and loan fraud investigations.
- Understanding of banking products and services
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good analytical and communication skills
- Graduate/ Postgraduate
- CFE will be added advantage.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel (Macros and Pivots), MS Word, MS PowerPoint.
