Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand Spowdi's market presence in India through Spowdi's Smart Farming concept
- Identify and engage with potential customers, partners, and distribution channels to drive revenue growth
- Build strong relationships with small-hold farming communities, agri-businesses, government agencies, and NGOs
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to refine sales strategies
- Represent Spowdi at industry events, conferences, and trade shows
- Lead contract negotiations and oversee the sales process from lead generation to deal closure
- Work closely with the other teams within Spowdi to tailor offerings based on customer needs
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in sales, business development, or partnerships in agritech, renewable energy, or sustainable solutions for smallholder farmers
- Strong understanding of India's agricultural sector, including pump and irrigation systems
- Proven track record in B2B or B2G sales with the ability to drive revenue growth
- Experience working with government agencies, NGOs, and agricultural cooperatives
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Willingness to frequently travel within India and Asia to engage with customers and partners
