R&D and Quality Control Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a meticulous and experienced R&D/Quality Control Manager to oversee our quality control department and ensure that all operations and products meet established quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geosynthetics, with hands-on experience in testing, report making, MTC preparation, quality control documentation, and lab accreditation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control Systems:

• Develop and implement quality control systems and measures to ensure products meet set standards of quality and reliability.
• Monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.

1. Testing and Inspection:
• Conduct and oversee lab testing procedures to ensure the quality and reliability of geosynthetic products.
• Inspect raw materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
• Perform raw material testing to ensure suitability and quality for product development.
2. Documentation and Reporting:
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation for all quality control activities, including test results, nonconformance reports, and quality trends.
• Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of all testing and development processes.
• Prepare Material Test Certificates (MTC) and other quality control documentation as required.
3. Lab Accreditation:
• Manage and maintain lab accreditation processes, including NABL, NTPEP, CE, GAI-LAP, and other relevant certifications.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
4. Collaboration:
• Work closely with the R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure product feasibility and performance.
• Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, or contractors.
5. Team Management:
• Coordinate and manage staff members in the quality control department.
• Provide training and guidance to the production team to meet quality standards.
• Promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning within the team.
6. Continuous Improvement:
• Identify and implement improvements in quality control processes and systems.
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to resolve production and manufacturing problems.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in quality control, specifically in the geosynthetics field.
• Strong hands-on experience with testing and quality assurance processes.
• Experience in preparing reports and conducting testing as per Indian and international standards like ASTM, EN, ISO, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements for geosynthetic products.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with lab accreditation processes and quality control documentation.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements for geosynthetic products.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
