Presales Application Solution Architect

Overview:

As a Presales Application Solution Architect, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by providing technical expertise and solutions during the presales process. You will collaborate closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements, architect solutions, and articulate the value proposition of our solutions, services and products. You will leverage your deep technical knowledge to design tailored solutions that address customer challenges and align with their business objectives.

Role & responsibilities

1. Presales Support:

• Work closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and objectives.
• Arrive with the list of questions to clarify the scope and requirements
• Articulate and share responses to RFP
• Assess customer requirements and design customized solutions to meet their specific needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including development, delivery support and engineering, to ensure proposed solutions align with technical capabilities.
• Solicit the review and endorsement of proposals from the Sales team, Delivery Directors, Vice Presidents (VPs), Senior Vice Presidents (SVPs), and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) through review sessions prior to presenting/sharing them to the customer.
• Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase solution, service and product capabilities and benefits.

2. Solution Architecture:

• Architect end-to-end solutions based on customer requirements and industry best practices.
• Design scalable and resilient architectures that leverage our products and services effectively.
• Provide guidance on integration strategies and technical implementation approaches.
• Develop comprehensive solution proposals, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and pricing estimations.
• Support delivery team by providing a technical direction
• Perform Proof of Concepts (POCs) to validate solution methodologies and establish customer confidence in our delivery capabilities.
• Establish benchmarks to estimate the effort required for supporting application and database components and services.
• Brainstorm innovative ideas to develop unique selling points, such as best practices, process and technology frameworks, platforms, services, and products, that set us apart from competitors.

3. Technical Expertise:

• Maintain deep knowledge of our Services, products, technologies, and industry trends.
• Stay informed about competitor offerings and market developments.
• Act as a trusted advisor to sales, marketing, leadership team and customers, providing insights and recommendations on technical solutions.

4. Customer Engagement:

• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including sales, marketing, leadership and architects.
• Act as a consultant to help customers solve complex technical challenges.
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for engaging and closing deals.

5. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

• Maintain proposal standards such as guidelines, criteria, or benchmarks to ensure the quality, completeness, and effectiveness of the proposal.
• Document solution designs, configurations, and best practices.
• Create technical collateral, such as whitepapers, case studies, and solution guides.
• Share knowledge and expertise with internal teams through training sessions and workshops.

Preferred candidate profile :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred) with 15+ Years of experience.
• Proven experience in a presales or solutions architecture role, preferably in the technology industry.
• Strong technical background with expertise in areas such as UI/UX, Middleware, Messaging Services, Databases, SharePoint, D365, Power Platform, APIs (Rest & Microservices), Cloud Computing, Data Analytics, Data Services on Cloud Platforms, Reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker etc.,), DevOps tools and Services, Monitoring and Performance analysis Services, Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Enterprise Software and Managed Services.
• Domain expertise in BFSI, Retail, Healthcare, Telecom, eGovernment and Transport etc.,
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to design and architect simple to complex solutions that meet customer requirements and business objectives.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about business challenges.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple proposals simultaneously.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Google Certified Solution Architect or similar are a plus.
