Operation and Maintenance Engineer

OPERATION & MAINTENANCE ENGINEER is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of solar power plants (preferably both rooftop and ground mount). This role involves ensuring the reliable operation of electrical systems, maximizing energy generation, and maintaining client satisfaction through effective communication and support.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES

1. Maintenance of Solar Power Plants:
• Regular maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical equipment in solar plants (both rooftop and ground mount).
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure system efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Perform fault detection and removal for on-grid string inverters and other electrical components.

2. Performance Optimization:

• Maximize energy generation by identifying areas for design improvement, material optimization, and better installation practices.
• Analyze plant performance metrics and implement corrective measures.

3. Equipment Handling:

• Commissioning and maintenance of solar plants with capacities of 200 kW and above.
• Hands-on experience with the functioning and troubleshooting of electrical equipment like string inverters, transformers, and solar panels.

4. Client and Team Coordination:

• Prepare maintenance and performance reports with actionable insights.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding system performance, troubleshooting, and maintenance schedules.
• Train technicians and support staff on maintenance practices and safety protocols.

5. Travel and Site Visits:

• Conduct regular local travel (50%) and outstation travel (20-30%) to site locations for inspections and troubleshooting.
• Ensure tools and materials are available for effective on-site operations.

6. Technical Expertise:

• Hands-on experience with the commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of on-grid string inverters.
• Familiarity with fault detection, removal, and performance optimization techniques.
