Principal Sofware Engineer

Responsibilities :

• Lead the appropriate architecture work streams (technology, application, infrastructure, data) to build long term strategies/plans .
• Work with broader team to define the technical /business roadmaps for tools/solutions and technologies, translate those roadmaps into Epics, Features and User Stories for the backlogs.
• Leads architectural updates to modernize existing systems and build architectural plans for new platform solutions. Anticipates future architectural risks based on industry trends and business needs at the enterprise level.
• Work with business partners to drive and capture system non-functional requirements - Security, Scalability, Maintainability.
• Own and drive engineering excellence across the teams by ensuring right set of tools, practises and guidelines are in place. Be the technical lead for the team.
• Own the software deliverables quality and the solution architecture.

• Active participation in code reviews and mentoring of engineers on agile teams.
• In-depth familiarity with problems relating to softwares performance and scalability with the purpose of improving, optimising, and identifying the solution.
• Be able to build quick prototypes for problem solving on need basis.
• Document the designs appropriately -- design principles apply here, and often the documentation includes code elements (e.g., the component/model design, swagger for API specifications) .
• Working in SAFe agile environment and able to collaborate well with the Agile scrum teams across the group that will include a one - two hours overlap with the global team in US (PST Time) based on the work needs.

  • Hands on Development Activities - 40%

Qualification Requirements:

• • Bachelor s or master s degree in computer science or related field with 70% and above.
  • 9 - 12 years of hands-on experience delivering robust web-based products/ applications, using Microsoft tech stack including C#, .Net CORE, SQL Server, Web API and NoSQL Database, Micro Services.
  • Hands on experience of working and design solutions in Azure Cloud.
  • Hands on experience in front end frameworks such as React and knowledge of HTM5, CSS3 and Typescript.
  • Hands on Experience on building distributed scalable architecture solutions . Very strong knowledge of solid design principles, design patterns.
  • Good exposure to Unit testing frameworks using VSTS Tools, Third party tools like NUnit and xUnit.Net.
  • Strong communication and cross group collaboration skills, with experience working with geographically distributed teams across organizational boundaries.
  • Looking for a start-up mindset with the intent to take ownership and drive the accountability of the releases. Leadership skills.
  • Good to have : Azure architect certification, TOGAF certification.
