Job Title: Lead UI/UX Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Lead UI/UX Engineer with 6-9 years of experience to lead our design and development efforts to create user-centric digital experiences. As a Lead UI/UX Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and designers, to ensure seamless, intuitive, and innovative user interfaces. The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UI/UX design, front-end technologies, and a deep understanding of design systems and principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end design and development of intuitive and user-friendly interfaces across web and mobile platforms.
- Collaborate with product teams to define and implement innovative solutions for the product s direction, visuals, and user experience.
- Translate concepts into wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
- Create, improve, and use wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and sitemaps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to iterate on design solutions.
- Ensure design consistency with established UI/UX guidelines and design systems while pushing for new standards and improvements.
- Lead UI/UX reviews, provide feedback, and drive design improvements across multiple projects.
- Stay updated on the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and best practices.
- Work closely with front-end developers to ensure the implementation of UI/UX designs is pixel-perfect and fully responsive.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior UI/UX engineers, ensuring best practices are followed and team growth is supported.
Required Skills:
- 6-9 years of experience in UI/UX design and front-end development.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Expertise in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and familiarity with modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and experience building mobile-first interfaces.
- Solid knowledge of design systems, UX/UI patterns, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
- Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and synthesizing feedback into actionable design improvements.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to stakeholders.
- Ability to work in an agile environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with motion design, animations, and creating engaging micro-interactions.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and creating inclusive designs.
- Knowledge of tools like InVision, Zeplin, or Marvel App for prototyping and design handoffs.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams with product managers, developers, and marketing teams.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Master s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field.
