Job Description
- Planning, designing, debugging, and coding software solutions for Java application development.
- Developing Java-based applications by using industry best practices.
- Writing and implementing efficient, reusable, and maintainable code in Java.
- Testing software to ensure it meets performance, reliability, and security standards.
- Providing technical support to software users and troubleshooting issues.
- Collaborating with software engineers to ensure code quality.
- Working with product managers and designers to ensure the software meets user needs and is designed effectively.
- Identifying opportunities to improve and optimize existing Java code.
- Experience with Agile methodology and contributing to sprint planning, testing, and continuous integration.
Skills Required:
- Core Technologies : Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Struts, RestAPI
- Microservices : Strong knowledge of building microservices architectures.
- Version Control : Proficient in GitHub.
- CI/CD : Experience with Jenkins, uBuild, and DevOps tools (OpenShift/Kubernetes).
- Database Knowledge : Expertise in relational databases (SQL, MySQL, Oracle, DB2), in-memory, and distributed databases.
- Cloud Platform : Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Agile Tools : Familiarity with Agile tools like Rally.
Skills Preferred:
- Front-end Technologies : Angular JS, React
- Cloud Exposure : Exposure to cloud platforms, specifically GCP.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Java development, particularly with Spring and Spring Boot .
- In-depth knowledge of website design and programming .
- Proficient understanding of Java and Java EE .
- Strong analytical , problem-solving , and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team .
- Familiarity with Unix-based systems and hardware .
- Experience with relational databases such as DB2 , Oracle , SQL Server .
- Agile development experience is a must.
Experience Preferred:
- Experience with Java Struts , GCP , and Angular .
Education Required:
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent.
Education Preferred:
- Additional safety training, licensing, or personal protection certifications (if applicable).
