Job Description
- Ensure safe working practices and implement corrective actions as needed
- Take an active interest in staff welfare, engagement, and professional development
- Supervise and train prisoners, contributing to their rehabilitation journey
- Conduct quality checks on 20% of team works each month and recognize successes
- Manage and review the CAFM system, ensuring maintenance aligns with contractual agreements
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work
- Provide detailed reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Manage communications via email and telephone
- Lead and conduct 1-2-1s, mid-year, and end-of-year reviews for the Maintenance team
- What Were Looking For
- City Guilds qualification in an engineering discipline
- Experience in a diverse engineering/FM environment (24/365 operational experience is an advantage)
- Knowledge of BMS, CAFM, and in-house software packages
- Strong awareness of HASAWA 1974 and British Standards
- Proven ability to manage operations and projects under tight timeframes
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- A flexible, team-player mindset with a progressive approach to maintenance services
