Job Description

Position statement

The Assistant Manager / Manager - Nashik Operations will lead the implementation of ANAND Group companies' CSR initiatives executed by SNS Foundation in the Nashik location. This role will focus on education, infrastructure development, and livelihood enhancement. The incumbent will ensure effective project planning, execution, stakeholder management, and community engagement to deliver impactful and sustainable outcomes while aligning with organizational goals and statutory requirements.


Role & responsibilities

1. Education Initiatives

  • Supervise teachers conducting remedial and regular classes in partner government schools.
  • Ensure improved academic performance of students by implementing effective teaching strategies and monitoring their progress.
  • Organize workshops and awareness campaigns to promote community involvement in education programs.

2. Infrastructure Development

  • Coordinate and manage infrastructure development projects in partner government schools.
  • Liaise with contractors, vendors, and authorities to ensure timely and quality completion of the projects.

3. Livelihood Enhancement

  • Continue support to existing Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to enhance their livelihoods.
  • Organize skill development training programs and facilitate access to government loans and schemes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress and impact of SHG initiatives to ensure sustainable outcomes.

4. Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including donor companies, SNS Foundation leadership, and project team members, to align goals and expectations.
  • Engage with external stakeholders such as local government authorities, district/block-level education authorities, and community leaders to secure support and ensure smooth implementation.

5. Monitoring and Reporting

  • Track project progress, ensuring alignment with objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports to management, showcasing project progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, expenses, and project documentation for audits and reviews.

6. Team Leadership and Community Engagement

  • Identify, train, manage, and motivate project team members to ensure high performance.
  • Foster a positive work environment, define roles and responsibilities, and enhance team effectiveness.
  • Build trust and relationships with the community to encourage participation in education, infrastructure, and livelihood initiatives.

Qualification Required

Mandatory

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Education, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Desired

Knowledge of state and central government policies & schemes related to rural livelihood and education.


Experience

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in managing CSR or development projects with a focus on education or livelihoods.
  • Proven track record in education programs or livelihood enhancement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with rural or semi-urban projects in Maharashtra.

Functional competencies required

  1. Project Management: Expertise in planning, executing, and monitoring high-impact projects, with a focus on quality, timelines, and budget optimization.
  2. Stakeholder Management: Ability to liaise effectively with government officials, educational institutions, and community leaders to drive project success.
  3. Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills to evaluate project performance and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders.
  4. Compliance and Governance: Knowledge of CSR regulations and local government protocols, ensuring compliance in all projects.

  5. Result Driven: Maintain a strong focus on achieving measurable outcomes, ensuring timely delivery of projects while meeting budget and quality benchmarks.
