Manager - Program Operations

Job Context

As ANANDs CSR wing, SNSF directly executes all projects under its programme areas of Education, Skill Development, Health & Hygiene and Community Conservation. The Foundation directly engages with different government and private agencies and institutes to implement its projects across locations and is looking for a Manager for its operations in Chennai and Hosur. The ideal candidate will be based out of Chennai (Chengalpattu) and would be having fortnightly travel to Hosur.

Around Chengalpattu, projects of the Foundation are primarily focused on govt. schools. The organization envisages taking up projects related to its other three focus areas. Thus the candidate is expected to take a leading role in the organizations proposed expansion activities in and around Chengalpattu w.r.t. identification of suitable projects, community mobilization and overall project management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research, planning and implementation of different projects of SNSF in the location(s)
• Liaison with govt. departments for securing permission for execution of infra projects under CSR
• In coordination with SNSF infra team, supervise and ensure completion of infrastructure development projects
• Liaison with Govt. officials/departments viz. School Principal, Block Education Officer, District Education Officer, Block Development Officer, State Rural Livelihood Mission etc.
• Work proactively to make SNSF project schools function as The school of preferred choice” in their corresponding neighborhoods.
• Organize special events, science fairs, exposure visits in the partner schools of SNSF
• Conduct awareness sessions and mobilize students / candidates for SNSF Scholarship programme designed for matriculate girls willing to pursue Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Qualifications and Experience

• Post graduate / Masters in Social Work/Sociology
• 5 to 10 years of experience of working with NGOs/CSR Foundations is desirable
• Exposure to CSR initiatives focused on improving quality of education in govt. schools is most preferred

Preferred Knowledge of Languages:

• Strong written and spoken communication skills in Tamil and English.
• Working knowledge of Hindi will be an added advantage.
