Program Officer

Job Context

As ANANDs CSR wing, SNSF directly executes all projects under its programme areas of Education, Skill Development, Health & Hygiene and Community Conservation.

The Foundation directly engages with different government and private agencies and institutes to implement its projects across locations and is looking for a Programme Officer at Pune location.

The ideal candidate should be able to assist the Manager Pune & Satara Operations in executing different programmes in Pune region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the coordination and implementation of the education activities in partner govt. schools
• Supervise the day-to-day activities of teachers to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of their respective roles
• Support the Manager - Pune & Satara Operations to carry out and monitor infra development projects in partner schools and communities
• Facilitate community contribution & innovation in community development projects
• Work in close co-ordination with Maharashtra State Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM) block offices to implement following planned activities
• Formation & registration of new self - help groups (SHGs)
• Revival of SHGs
• Facilitate and monitor book keeping activities and financial transactions of SHGs and Gram Sangh
• Organize livelihood-related trainings to initiate micro entrepreneurship activities in coordination with Govt. departments such as Block Agriculture Office, Animal Husbandry Department, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVKs) and Other NGOs
• Organize special events, exposure visits for SHG members
• Submit monthly progress report, supporting data, success stories and other relevant reports related to all project activities to Manager Pune & Satara Operations
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Manager Pune & Satara Operations and provide hands-on support as needed.

Qualifications and experience

• Graduation (preferably Bachelors in Social Work /B.A. Sociology)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in the area of micro credit and micro entrepreneurship development

Other Requirements

• The post requires ability to work in different terrains where travel on foot is the only option
• Good communication skills in English, Marathi, Hindi
• Proficiency in MS-Office package and collection of data as per given formats
• Must be owner of a 2-Wheeler with a valid driving licence; willing to use the same for official travel on reimbursement basis
