Job Description

Job Summary: The HR Head for the Infra Division will be responsible for overseeing all HR, Industrial Relations (IR), and Administrative functions across multiple sites spread throughout India. This role requires a strategic leader who can manage and develop HR policies, ensure compliance with labor laws, and foster a positive work environment. The position is based at the head office in Nagpur but involves extensive travel to various project sites.


Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources (HR) Functions:

  • Strategic HR Planning: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business objectives of the Infra Division.
  • Talent Acquisition: Oversee the recruitment process to attract and retain top talent for various projects and administrative roles.
  • Performance Management: Implement performance appraisal systems and ensure regular feedback and development plans for employees.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and organize programs to enhance employee skills and career development.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Design and manage competitive compensation packages and benefits programs.
  • Employee Engagement: Foster a positive work culture through engagement initiatives and employee welfare programs.
  • HR Policies and Compliance: Ensure all HR policies are up-to-date and comply with legal requirements.

Industrial Relations (IR) Functions:

  • Labor Relations Management: Lead negotiations with labor unions, manage relationships, and ensure smooth conflict resolution.
  • Compliance and Legal Adherence: Ensure compliance with national and state labor laws, and develop policies that promote a safe and fair workplace.
  • Dispute Resolution: Address employee grievances promptly, mediate conflicts, and maintain a harmonious work environment.
  • Workplace Safety and Health: Implement and monitor adherence to safety standards and develop health and wellness programs.
  • Employee Relations Programs: Design and implement engagement initiatives and foster transparent communication.
  • Training and Development: Provide IR training to managers and conduct awareness programs on labor laws and employee rights.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Establish systems for reporting industrial incidents and analyze data to identify trends.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop long-term IR strategies and identify potential risks with mitigation plans.

Administrative Functions:

  • Office Management: Oversee the administrative functions at the head office and ensure efficient operations.
  • Facilities Management: Ensure all project sites have the necessary facilities and resources to operate smoothly.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors and service providers for administrative needs.
  • Travel and Logistics: Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements for employees as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in HR, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the Infra or construction industry.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices. Ability to manage multiple projects and teams across different locations.
