IT Network Engineer

Job Title: IT Network Engineer

Experience: 2 - 4 Years

Location: Coimbatore

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, install, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and other networking systems.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking hardware.
• Monitor network performance, conduct diagnostic tests, and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Ensure network security through firewalls, VPNs, and other network security protocols.
• Implement and maintain network-related policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure smooth operation.
• Perform network upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning as required.
• Provide network support to internal and remote employees, troubleshooting network-related issues.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure system integration and resolution of network-related issues.
• Responsible to handle IT and IT related Assets.
• Keep documentation of network configurations, updates, and other important information.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and apply them to improve network performance.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and the restoration of network systems during downtime.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
• Experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software.
• Knowledge of network security, VPNs, and encryption protocols.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve issues efficiently.
• Familiarity with cloud-based networking solutions (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ are preferred.
