Software Development Engineer - Test - Java/Selenium (7-12 yrs)

Job Description.

Job Title : SEDT.

Location : Bangalore.

Experience : 7-12 Years.

Key Responsibilities :

- Build Cucumber tests from scratch using Java.

- Develop and execute test automation suites, including regression, sanity, and in-sprint automation test suites.

- Implement and maintain BDD, data-driven, and hybrid automation frameworks.

- Create and execute API tests using tools such as Rest-Assured and Postman.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to identify testing needs and provide feedback.

- Design, develop, debug, and execute various test automation suites.

- Utilize Jenkins and Bitbucket for continuous integration and version control.

- Conduct UI-based automation using Selenium or Cypress.

- Maintain test management processes and document test cases in JIRA.

- Implement contract testing to ensure API compatibility.

- Write and optimize SQL queries and perform database testing using Oracle and SQL.

- Provide regular updates and reports on testing progress and results.

Required Skills :

- Strong experience in Java with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming.

- Proficiency in TestNG and JUnit for test execution and management.

- Extensive experience with BDD frameworks and the ability to implement them from scratch.

- Expertise in building API-based tests using Rest-Assured and Postman.

- Knowledge and experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines.

- Familiarity with Bitbucket for version control and collaboration.

- Hands-on experience with Selenium or Cypress for UI automation testing.

- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and working in Agile projects.

- Experience with JIRA for issue tracking and project management.

- Knowledge of contract testing methodologies.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
