Software Development Engineer - Test - Java/Selenium (6-8 yrs)

Position : SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) - Senior Lead

Role Overview :

As a Senior Lead SDET, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products by leveraging modern test automation tools and methodologies. You will drive the quality initiatives, design, and execute test strategies for robust software releases, and play a pivotal role in the product development cycle.

Key Responsibilities :

- Quality Ownership : Lead the quality assurance efforts for an entire application/area by implementing Test-Driven Development (TDD), designing test plans, and maintaining high standards of quality for all releases.

- Test Coverage : Develop and maintain comprehensive regression suites and test pipelines across various environments.

- Automation Frameworks : Design and develop scalable, high-performance, and portable automation frameworks and tools to support test suite scalability.

- Continuous Learning : Take the initiative to understand and adopt different coding languages and frameworks that may be beneficial for future work.

- Script Automation : Create scripts to automate repetitive tasks related to CI/CD, testing, and other software development processes.

- Defect Prevention : Collaborate with product development teams to prevent defects and ensure a higher level of quality during the requirement and design stages.

Key Requirements :

- Experience : 6-8 years of hands-on experience as an SDET.

- Frontend Automation : Proficiency in frontend automation testing using Java & Selenium, with experience in framework design.

- Automation Frameworks : Expertise with tools like Cucumber (BDD), TestNG, Rest Assured, Page Object Model, and JUnit.

- Backend/API Testing : Strong understanding of backend systems and proficiency in API testing.

- Test Strategy : Proven ability to create optimal test strategies, covering functional, non-functional, analytics, and automation for both short-term and long-term projects.

- Database Skills : Experience with relational databases and SQL queries.

- CI/CD Exposure : Familiarity with CI/CD practices and cloud-based infrastructure for executing regression suites, smoke tests, and Build Acceptance Tests (BAT)
