Assistant Manager - Warehouse

1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inventory Management: Oversee the tracking, handling, and storage of all products to ensure accurate inventory counts and timely fulfillment of orders.
• Staff Supervision: Assist in hiring, training, and supervising warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing feedback and support.
• Operational Efficiency: Implement and maintain efficient warehouse processes and procedures to optimize workflow and minimize downtime.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure that all warehouse operations comply with health and safety regulations, including maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Quality Control: Monitor the quality of incoming and outgoing goods to ensure compliance with company standards and customer expectations.
• Logistical Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and transportation providers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
• Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and other warehouse activities, and prepare regular reports for management.
• Inventory Ageing Reports: Monitoring the Inventory and sharing the Ageing reports to ensure older stock is sold or moved first (FIFO First In, First Out)

2. KEY QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Education: A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in warehouse management or a similar role is required, with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, management, and external partners.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and ensure quality control.
